Case

Biodeconta Decontamination conducted regular hydrogen peroxide - based spatial cleaning, purification, and disinfection for the biological laboratory of a cell - therapy company in Beijing. This laboratory was established in accordance with GMP standards, and the client required the disinfection effect to reach the log6 level.

Introduction

Introduction to the On - site Environment

Class B clean area. The area is 156.8 square meters, and the floor - to - ceiling height is 2.7 meters.

Disinfection area: 3 cell culture rooms + dressing room and preparation room + post - sterilization room + corridor.

Room environment: Color - coated steel panel walls on all sides + built - in biological experimental equipment in the rooms.

Preparation Work
  1. Collect environmental parameters such as temperature and relative humidity.
  2. Cleaning staff conduct pre - cleaning of the laboratory to remove obvious dirt and dust.
  3. Turn on the air - conditioning system to adjust the temperature and humidity. Turn off the air - conditioning system when the relative humidity is between 40% - 50%.

Sterilization Process
Verification: Use log6 biological indicators (Geobacillus stearothermophilus, ATCC12980) and chemical indicator cards.
Duration: The sterilization stage takes 5 hours, and the residue removal takes 1 hour.
After residue removal, the hydrogen peroxide gas decomposes into water and oxygen, ensuring that there are no harmful gas residues in the environment.

Completion

Effect: All 18 chemical indicator cards in the purified area changed color, and the culture results of all 18 biological indicators were negative, achieving a log6 disinfection and sterilization level.
